Phase I:
Foundation and Decision Framework
Developing the foundation and Decision Framework is a focused effort to define the corporate vision and values. This process is crucial to outlining the company purpose (Vision) and guiderails (Values) that will drive the decision making processes for the company. It clearly defines what the desired future will look like and what values it will hold as non-negotiable. InitiativeOne believes robust dialog and consensus is necessary to bring clarity and commitment to the Decision Framework.
The heart of the process, in addition to developing the Decision Framework, identifies three to four critical organizational goals. When achieved, these critical goals will carry the organization to the next level of performance as well as to the Vision. The critical goals are three-to-five-year stretch goals, and all action plans and strategies are then aligned and geared toward achieving these goals.
Leadership development provides a strong foundation for strategic development by setting the expectation for transparent, honest communication, strong and healthy debate as well as consensus-driven decision making. InitiativeOne facilitation continues to reinforce these leadership concepts throughout the strategic planning process to ensure a robust and complete strategic plan, thereby positioning the organization for a greater level of success.
Phase II:
Update and Assessment
In order for a strategic plan to provide maximum benefit to your company, the plan must remain current and incorporate all dynamics of your continually evolving work environment. We recommend that you schedule the Phase II session for updating your plan and assessing progress quarterly for 12 to18 months following the completion of Phase I. This ensures that all participants remain committed and positively accountable to your strategic plan and that any roadblocks to success are addressed.
