Oops, I Made a Mistake!
Stories filled the media last month concerning the USDA official who was abruptly fired by the Agriculture Secretary after her recorded remarks to an audience appeared to boast over recent discriminatory actions against a white farmer. Positive Accountability
Mention the word accountability and most leaders immediately envision a punitive system to address failed commitments and broken promises. In fact, developing a culture of positive accountability requires much more than processes involving measurement, review and punitive consequences. Effective leaders recognize that a culture of positive accountability is the result of an intentional process to create a healthy leadership culture. First, it is important to understand what defines organizational culture. Then, we can examine the prerequisites for building positive accountability. There are five components in this process: (1) impeccable communication, (2) consensus driven leadership, (3) a safe environment, (4) a healthy self-validation system, and (5) a commitment to respectful relationships.

InitiativeOne iOne Online:
Delivering Leadership Concepts Across Your Organization
InitiativeOne Online Leadership Training Program (iOne Online) is the next step in the evolution of leadership training and culture change within your business. Through the years, we have found the most difficult part of maintaining the momentum created during the in-person process is implementing those techniques across the business without the benefit of continuous, intensive training and understanding. iOne Online is designed to promote upward accountability throughout your company by breaking all the barriers to delivering the in-person process. In four separate modules, your entire team participates in a condensed version of our leadership training process – not as a replacement, but rather as an enhancement to support the cultural change needed across many organizations today. ...more
